Enlisting and Training Youth Workers-Part 3

The Process of Enlistment

Once the needed Sunday School organization is determined, the Sunday School Director and Youth Division Director work together with the church nominating committee to staff the Youth Sunday School. Worker enlistment calls for clear understanding of the job and its requirements.
For proper worker enlistment:

• Pray about who God would have you enlist for the position you want to fill. 
• Prepare a list of workers necessary 
• prepare a list of potential workers 
• clear the workers through the Nominating Committee 
• schedule an appointment with each prospective worker 
• take along the needed resources for the enlistment visit
• job description, worker expectations, class or department roll, copy of curriculum materials, list of training opportunities, and other helpful materials, such as videos. 
• Give the potential worker the opportunity to pray about accepting the responsibility.
